Having taken his workshop so recently in Asheville, NC and purchased his videos as well, I can say beyond doubt that the man is a demi-god! I have been around the dance for some time and I didn't know there were that many variations on the Egyptian hip movements. His shimmy drills and variations were also very cool! His attention to posture is something hardly seen today and should be something every dancer is aware of to reduce the risk of injury. His videos follow his class completely and were a great tool to help me to remember the combos he taught. Despite a last minute venue change he was still gracious and accomodating to all and really made the effort to make sure everyone was really understanding what was being taught. His performance, both that evening and on his DVD were spectacular. He is a true performer and artist, I plan on taking several cues from him and try to make my performances just as interesting. - Rick , posted 04/30/07 |
