WACK Radio is the collaborative effort of DJ's RevDok & dmf, also encompassing a crack team of hard working, hard playing friends and family. Located deep in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, this small enclave of music collectors and counterculture enthusiasts strives to expose the masses to the inspirational sounds of the non-genre specific perfect piece of music for the moment. Through roadshows, radio spots, the sound of 6am, pool parties, and latenight dancefloor freakouts - WACK comes at you from every musical angle.
Broadcasting news, announcements, spoken word, experimental sounds, ambient, funk, soul, disco, jazz, indie, world, blues, downtempo, sonic collage, flashbacks, rock steady, low-fi, psychadelic sounds, old school, dub, reggae, glitch, late breaks, deep, prog, electro, tech, house and eclectic dance, both on-the-air and live at our show.

Asheville Green Drinks Meets Every Friday Night @ 6:00 pm at BoBo Gallery
Asheville Green Drinks is a networking party that is part of the self-organizing global grassroots movement to connect communities with environmental ideas, media and action. People who are interested in environmental issues and topics meet up for a drink.
It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there's always a different crowd making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network.
These events are very simple and sometimes unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.
6:00pm socializing starts
6:15pm introductions around the room
6:30pm Learn about the City of Asheville's organizational greening programs and sustainability vision in this presentation and discussion with the City's Energy Coordinator, Maggie Ullman. From The Inside Out: The City of Asheville's role in our sustainable community. Leading by example the City passed a resolution in April 2007 to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050. Join us to hear about the City's Energy Management Plan, implementation strategies and community goals as our municipality joins the ranks of Asheville's sustainability movers and shakers.
